Hi,

Cellulitis in a patient with diabetes mellitus can spread and be treated needing more time and caution. It's important to have good antibiotic treatment and debridement done to improve the condition. It depends on the degree of infection regarding amputation and loss of limb. Don't worry try to improve your treatment under close follow up of internal medicine and infectious disease specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
