Can Short Episode Of Intense Pain In The Ear Be Caused Due To High Cholesterol?

Yesterday I experienced three sharp, stabbing intense pains through the right side of my head midway between my ear and the top of my head. They came on one right after the other and lasted for only a split second. I have never experienced this before nor since. I have borderline high cholesterol but am not taking medication for it. Could this one episode be related to my cholesterol or is it of no significance.
