Can Skiing In Dry Conditions Lead To Nosebleeds?

My 64 yr old brother in law skis every weekend. He ha a severe nose bleed that was cauterized, it failed and he had another severe nose bleed. The ER packed his now and 40 hours later it happened again. The dr said it was from skiing in dry conditions. It happened once more buy for the past six days he is fine . His color its gray he is in good shape but now has high blood pressure since bleed. He feels it is something else

Skiing may cause nasal mucosa dryness which may lead to bleeding.
So use face mask , use humidifier in home, if bleeding is severe use nasal compression and packing. If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
