Can Smoking Marijuana Alter The EEG Results?

I m having an EEG in the morning to check my absence seizures. I smoke medicinal marijuana to help with my seizures, I tried to contact my doctors and couldn t get ahold of them as to if I may smoke or have my dose tonight? Will it interrupt the EEG? I did it before my MRI and there were no difficulties.

Cannot say in your particular case. I've seen 2 patients who clearly had seizures triggered by marijuana but there are cases in which it helped in the literature it seems. I would want EEG's wtih and without a particular drug if I thought the drug changed the EEG.
