Can Soreness In Ears Cause Jaw Pain & Cracks?

I have pain in my left jaw when I open and close my mouth, especially when eating. The jaw also Cracks. My internist said I had soreness in the ear, and gave me antibiotics, but it has not helped. I am a swimmer and I do know that sometimes I get water inside my ears, but this pain seems to have started quite suddenly.

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having lax Temporo-mandibular muscles or sub-laxation of the joint giving this problem.
consult oral surgeon and get examined.
Avoid chewing hard stuff.
Keep fingers on affected joint while yawning.
Avoid wide opening mouth.
Ok and take care.
