General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to tonsillitis.

The steroid is given to reduce inflammation.

The antibiotics are used to treat the infection.

So, I do agree with the treatment given by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
