Hi. I have a sore throat that is only sore on the back top left corner of my mouth. It only hurts when I yawn or swallow. Talking and singing do not have any effect. I sneezed extremely hard yesterday. Could this possibly be a cause of this? I know that s a long shot. What could this be? What can I do to make it not hurt? I do not think that it is strep for I have had strep before. Thank you for your time!
Most probably you have an oral ulcer in the area you mentioned. Use Betadine gargles for antiseptic effect, and anaesthetic oral gel like ZYTEE if you can reach that area just apply this, it will relieve your pain. The ulcers usually heals in 7 to 10 days.
