General Surgeon 's  Response
HI.
This is a very good question and there will be varied opinions by different Surgeons.
I can give you the reasoning.
The rule is , once diagnosed , appendix should be removed as if not taken out now, may cause re-inflammation some other time and occurs most probably at the time of some important work.
As you have asked for Subacute appendicitis, the best way is to get operated that the tension of further attacks is not there .
If there is some reason for not getting operated at the moment you can get a nice course of an antibiotic and metronidazole under a care of a General Surgeon and have regular follow-up. If there are no further attacks , nothing to worry about. Only precaution is to get operated immediately if you have a further attack.
