Can Sudden And Substantial Hearing Loss Be Related To Taking Ramipril?

Hi Dr my mum is experiencing a sudden and substantial hearing loss, the only treatment she s taking is ramipril 5mg/day and lasilix 80 mg/day, particularly ramipril she took it recently almost since 8 months. I was wondering if there s any way to help/alleviate this sudden condition? what do you recommend? thanks so much

Hi,

Ramipril and Lasilix is no where related to hearing loss. There might be other reasons for the sudden hearing loss. You can approach an ENT specialist for this.
