Can Suffering From Fibroid Cause Complications During Pregnancy?

Im 47 yr old. My period skipped thiss Jul and I conceived. I decided to hold the pregnancy. Now its been three months and the baby is fine too. Is it ok to continue the pregnancy? Will I have any problems in the later stage of my pregnancy? I have fibroid of 10cm. Lastly I want to tell you that I told my doc that Im a 30yr old as my husband is 30yr. We both have a baby boy who is now 3 yrs old. This pregnancy is my third issue. Previous two were C sections.

Hi,
I can understand your concern.
* Fibroid is a tumor in uterus. many women have Fibroids with pregnancy. Mostly it does not interfere with pregnancy ,still a regular observation & guidance of doctor is indicated for it may sometimes cause-
- Pain & increase in size- controlled by medicines
- may cause abortion,
- May cause abnormal presentation of baby& may need surgical delivery.
* Pregnancy at age of 47 needs to be cleared of untoward effects on baby by Triple guard test. Please don't hide your age from treating doctor. age matters while pregnancy & delivery management.
Thanks.
