Can Support Therapy For Viral Infection Affect The Child In Womb?

Hi I am 5 feet and now weigh 139 lbs in my 37 week of gestation. I've been having fever/chills, generalized achiness in the joints, weakness, headaches, and malaise. My obstetrician attributes to viral infection and recommends supportive therapy. How long is this going to last? Is this going to affect my baby in any negative way? I am really concerned.....

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. No, supportive treatment for viral infection do not effect the fetus at womb at this gestation. You should keep your body temperature in normal range by medicine, as high temperature may have adverse effects on the foetus.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
