Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Yes, there may be some relation however in most cases bowel movements should stabilize in several weeks after surgery. YOu need to try with conservative measures first and then look at the surgery as a cause. You need to increase fiber intake. Good fiber sources include bran and other whole grains found in cereals, breads, and brown rice, vegetables such as brussels sprouts, carrots, and asparagus, Fresh fruits, or dried fruits such as raisins, apricots, and prunes Beans.
you may at times need to try a laxative such as Fleet Phospho-Soda,
Milk of Magnesia, or
glycerin suppositories. If there wont be improvement on these measures, you should consider doing diagnostic tests such as
colonoscopy, anal sphincter manometry and
food allergy testing.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
