Can Swelling Of Glands Near Earlobe Suggest Blocked Salivary Gland?
I was at the park with my kids when I noticed that the gland on the left side of my face below my earlobe was tender. 3 hours later and it is very swollen and it hurts to touch, turn my head and to chew. Is it possibly a blocked saliva gland and if so when should I go to the doctor?
If your swelling and pain is increasing while you have food or even with smell of it more so with citrus food, then you have a problem with your salivary gland. And in that case you should meet the ENT. Meanwhile avoid all citrus food items and drink plenty of water.
