Can Switching To Whole Milk Cause A Change In The Stool Consistency And Color?

Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...Recently we switched our daughter to whole milk...make a gradual transition...I m concerned about her stool. It s very Sandy in color and has the consistency of like Play-Doh. She s eating plenty of fruits and veggies throughout the day as well along with the milk. Is this something I should be worried about and see my normal pediatrician? I took a pic of today s stool.

Hello,

If she is not having any problem in the growth parameters or developmental parameters then this type of stool consistency should not be a problem at all.

Unless there is blood in the stool or unless she is failing to thrive you need not to worry about this at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
