Can Sysron Cause Delay In Period?
i am 34.i took sysron n 3 tablets daily for 8 days to delay my period while on vacation last month..after discontinuing i got withdrawal bleeding...this month i haven t got my period ..it is 5 days up...i always have very regular periods dot 28 days...pl advice...

Sysron N tablet contains norethisterone which is used to treat various menstrual problems like painful, heavy or irregular periods, premenstrual symdrome (PMS) and a condition called endometriosis. It is progesterone, but a man-made version of that natural female sex hormone. Sysron N tablet may disturb your cycle. It is usually given for about 10 days to help manage heavy periods. Usually, your period will resume within 3 days after stopping the medication.
Sometimes, it may need to start periods 7-10 days after stop taking Sysron N tablets. However, if you don't get periods still, get yourself investigated. Do a serum beta hcg blood test if you don't get period after stopping Sysron N. Your body may correct itself after 3-4 cycles and your period cycles may resume as before. But, if you experience this problem for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention. Don't start or stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
