Hi...my one month 2 days baby boy is not passing moton since 5 days. One of my Pediatrician adviced me to give DUPHALAC syrup 200ml. Is it advicable or should I give SPORLAC powder? Which one is correct for his problem. He is passing urine for 6-8 times a day.
He is taking mother feeding only. Please suggest me.
Detailed answer: Hi, welcome to HCM. The main problem in your child is that he has not passed stools for 5 days, that's a long time. Duphalac syrup has lactulose which is used in children with constipation. Sporolac contains lactic acid bacillus and it's a prebiotic. Duphalac will be helpful to your child in this condition. I hope this will help you. Wishing your child good health. Take care. Regards: Dr Deepak Patel, MD Pediatrics
