Can Taking Repapse Effect The Body Temperature And ESR?
Hi Doc., My 12 year old girl is on treatment for TBM, she has had repapse thrice, treatment restarted twice. Currently we are on continuation phase of treatment with RH (9 months to go). But last week she had fever with tempearture running up to 39 degrees, ESR was at 96. What does this mean?

hi.sorry to hear about your kid.ESR at 96 may be due to TB itself or check whether she is anemic.it can also cause raise in ESR.SINCE SHE IS RUNNING HIGH TEMP.WE HAVE TO RULE OUT ANY OPPURTUNISTIC INFECTION as she is now in a immunocompromised state with TB.ask your doctor for furthur blood tests and treatment.hope she will be well soon.good day
