Can Taking Both Coversyl And Sodium Bicarbonate Together Be Safe?

My husband is on coversyl 2mg 1 tablet a day and was prescribed yesterday sodium bicarbonate 500mgand must take 4 a day. he is diabetic and on the needle and his bicarbonate was very low and he also has C.O.P.D My question is coversyl and the other one bicarbonate good together. Danielle gamache and yes he is tired and is always hungry. thank you so much
