Can Taking Fish Oil Supplement Affect The Cholesterol Levels?

I took fish oil for daily supplement. And the day that I took a Cholesterol test I took my regular fish oil supplement. Would that affect the blood test. Last year I took the test it was borderline higher but today it was way high and the RN suggested me to see a doctor as soon as I can.

Hi,
Fish oil reduces tryglycerids and a little LDL (low density lipoproteins). So it affects only the way of reducing bad cholesterol, and you should search another reason for your cholesterol rise.
It could be your lifestyle changes, your diet, if you are female it also could be affected with your hormonal status.

Regards,
