Can Taking Hrt Tablets Lead To Weight Gain?
My Doctor said that HRT tablets do not make you gain weight I was on Premarin for 15 years my Doctor stopped them 4 years ago my hot sweats are so bad he now prescribed elleste solo I am worried about weight gain, I do not agree with him that you cannot gain weight from these tablets alone

Estrogen alone(HRT) causes more of weight fluctuations rather than weight gain or weight loss especially in menopause.
Addition of estrogen at times can help in weight loss also in menopause as the altered metabolism due to estrogen deficiency is normalised. But it's difficult to predict whether estrogen can cause weight loss or weight gain.
Elleste sole contains contains estradiol hemihydrate which is a estrogen.
