General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Plagerine is a brand name for the medication Clopidogrel, which is an antiplatelet medication used to prevent blood clots in individuals at risk of cardiovascular diseases. One of the possible side effects of Plagerine is bleeding, including easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums.
If you have been taking Plagerine for two years and have developed unusual bruises or rashes on your skin, it is important to inform your doctor immediately. Your doctor may stop or adjust the dosage of Plagerine to prevent any further bleeding episodes.
Bleeding inside the head or other parts is a severe side effect of Plagerine, but it is rare. However, it is important to take any symptoms related to bleeding seriously and to seek medical attention right away.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
