Hi,
I have read your question and would like to help you with this problem.
Yes, in some cases there are chances tampons can go up in vagina and get stuck.
To confirm this I would suggest you to first look around carefully in your place, it might have dropped down somewhere around. If you do not find it around I would advice you try to investigate by yourself to see if anything is inside the vagina.
Before you investigate wash your hands, put on disposable glove and insert your finger in vagina and try to reach up in vagina as far as your finger can go, move your finger around and try to feel something is there. If you do not feel anything, there are good chances its not in there.
IF you feel something try to pull it out slowly and remove it.Make sure no any single piece is left behind as it can cause serious infection and
toxic shock which is dangerous.
I would suggest its better to consult with the gynecologist, she might confirm it through pelvic examination or recommend you pelvic
ultrasound.
Hope this advice is helpful, let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Dr.Pari
