I am a migraine sufferer...at least 3 a week and have tried everything the only relieve I get is from a pethidine injection...can this harm me is it addictive drug. I also had 3/4 of my stomach removed a year ago due to complications from an operation... nearly died. I got whiplash from a car accident and i feel it made me get more frequent migraine. Neurologist said I had chronic headache syndrome which transgress to an immediate migraine he tried botex twice but this is super expensive...I can not afford. Any help would would be appreciated. Ta
Targin and Oxycontin should not be used together as they both contain the same medicine, oxycodone, which is an opioid. Pethidine is also an opioid and should not be used with either Targin or Oxycontin. Pethidine, Targin and Oxycontin are all highly addictive and must be used with caution and only in the prescribed dosage. I think, rather than depending upon analgesics to control your migraine, you should explore the option of using medicines that act as prophylactics for migraine, gradually reducing the intensity and frequency of migraine attacks. Amitryptiline, propranolol, dothiepin, flunarizine etc give good results.
Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
