Can The Nose Be Exposed To Cold Weather Immediately After Nasal Cauterisation?
My son is going for a nasal cauterisation on Thurs. He is 5 months into Army basic training,his training team have told him that he is to go straight out on a 3 day exercise immediatey post op.Surely his nasal area is to be protected from any damage & cold weather?

there is no harm in exposing to cold and your son can go for the training , dont worry.I would like him to apply vaseline or any other petroleum gel over the area cauterized for at least a week after cauterization , this will help in early healing and prevent bleeding.
