Hi, thank you for asking healthcare magic
I understand your concerns
It is possible to have a healthy
pregnancy and a healthy baby with seizures.
Before you try to conceive, schedule an appointment with the health care provider who willl be handling your pregnancy. You can also meet with other members of your health care team, such as your family doctor or
neurologist. They will evaluate how well you are managing your seizures and consider any treatment changes you might need to make before pregnancy begins.
Take your anti-seizure medication exactly as prescribed. Don't adjust the dose or stop taking the medication on your own. Remember, uncontrolled seizures likely pose a greater risk to your baby than does any medication.
There is a slightly higher risk for a baby to be born with
birth defect following intake of anti seizure drugs during pregnancy. This risk can be reduced if you discuss with your doctor before conceiving. The doctor may prescribe a safer drug and an adapted dose.
I hope I have answered your query
I wish you well
