Can The Throat Pain Be Due To Pain In Arm And Shoulder?

I am a 57 year old female. I am having intermittent pain on the left side of my throat. My throat is not sore and i don t feel a lump or swelling. My left arm has been sore for many months and I ll have sharp pain when I raise it sideways and recently have pain between my shoulder blades on the left side. I don t know if the pain in my arm and shoulder is causing the pain in my throat area.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have pain in your throat and shoulder , which radiate in your left arm . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards haert disease condition . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like ECG , chest X- ray , TMT , complete blood profile and sometimes angiography to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like muscle spasm and cervical spondolysis .Doctor may prescribe beta blocker , aspirin or drug like atorvastatin . For now take proper rest and do not exert your body .
