Can The Tingling Sensation Be Related To The Bunions?
I have a pulsing, mildly tingling sensation mostly in my feet and legs (but I feel it all over). All the time. Similar to my feet going to sleep or to restless leg syndrome. There is no pain associated with it. I have bunions on both feet, but it s worse on the right side and the sensation seems to be worse on the right side. Can this sensation be related to the bunions? Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for your query. The abnormal sensations that you have such as burning, tingling are termed peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral Neuropathy is a condition caused by damage to the peripheral nervous system [most commonly seen in diabetic patients]. Another possibility could be nerve compression in spine due to disc bulge. Change your diet and remove inflammatory foods such as citrus fruits, dairy products and wheat that may aggravate the condition. Simultaneously increase your intake of potassium and calcium-rich foods such as bananas and avocados and green leafy vegetables Vitamin B12 is important in the maintenance of health and normal functioning of the nerve tissue and deficiency of it can lead to numbness. You can increase B12 level by taking meat and fish, or you can take tab methylcobalamine . It not seems to be related to bunions.
