Can The Wrong Needle Be Harmful In Ivf?

My wife just began IVF injectables and used the wrong needle for Menopur; the longer 22g 1 1/2" needle instead of SC 25g 1/4" needle. Is there danger she punctured something and that the injectible will not be effective b/c it was put into her system too far in?

Hi.

There is no danger, but there could be a question in relation to the effectivity. I would recommend a revisit to your treating doctor just to make sure all is well, primarily because the treatment is a little more on the pricier side than other therapies.

Best wishes.
