Can Thickening Of The Gallbladder Wall Be Treated?
A thickened gall bladder wall has been identified on me via ultrasound. It is suggested that gallbladder removal will be required. Is there anything that can be done to try to reduce the thickness of the gb wall through diet before considering surgery?

Can Thickening Of The Gallbladder Wall Be Treated?
Hi, The thickening is due to fibrosis. Fibrosis is seen in chronic inflammation and it is an irreversible process. So fibrosis cannot revert back. The only option can be gall bladder removal. Kindly mention your clinical complaints to guide you further. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
