Can Throat Tingling Be Due To Neck And Head Swelling?
I have ti bling in my throat, like when your hand goes to sleep. Some crawly feelings and sharp pain like after novicaine wears off on my face. I have asthma and am taking a medrol pack for a flare up. But I have neck problems and wonder if there is swelling on the back of my head/neck causing this? Also, occasionally I hear a whooshing sound in my head/neck when I bear down or lift heavy objects.
Hi. Noted your history of asthma, medrol pack, worried if there is swelling on the neck which you are not certain about, whooshing sound in neck on straining and now tingling sensation in the throat as if the effect of novicaine is wearing off. These things may not be associated as the throat problem can be due to local inflammation or so and being a part of the respiratory tract can cause such problems by allergic reaction to something. Medrol pack will be helpful here too. Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation and further treatment as per the findings on examination and lab reports. you will be fine.
I hope this answers your query.
