Hello, I am a 35 yr old female 5'2 and 140lbs. I have been trying to lose weight but to no avail. My mom does have a thyroid problem and I am a triplet (all girls, fraternal) and my one sister has been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and has been on medication several yrs. Two and a half months ago my other sister and I decided to go to medical weight loss clinics (we live in different cities) and try that. We both have not lost any weight despite taking phentermine daily and working out. My sister's clinic advised her to get her thyroid checked. I travel frequently for work and have not been able to get in to see a doctor. I know you cannot diagnosis me but I guess my question is this; are all people with thyroid problems whether on medication or not always have an issue with weight? Is there a specific nutritional diet I should follow? I have not energy and I considering liposuction.
