Can Tiredness Cause Redness Under Eyes?

my 5 year old has had a cold for a few days, his appetite has been low, he sleeps like normal, but towards the end of the day his face is reddish under his eyes, I assume it s because he is tired but I m not sure. So, can your face get red under your eyes when youre tired?

Hi thanks for your question.
No, tiredness cannot cause redness under eyes. However as your mentioning that he is having cold and face is reddish which means he develops fever due to cold. As cold is an viral infection which can cause fever. Redness under eyes could be due to viral infection and fever can also cause redness under eyes. Consult a physician who may examine him and prescribe him appropriate treatment depending upon the infection.
Hope this answers your question.
