I m training to be an opera singer but am getting tonsilitis and throat problems so frequently now that I need to have the tonsils removed. I m extremely worried that this will effect my voice. I m a soprano and don t want to lose my range or have it affect the sound of my voice in any way. Can you tell me if it will please?
Tonsillectomy affects voice performance negatively in short term after the surgery. However, it does not affect voice performance in long term after surgery.
