Hello. I have had a tooth infection for longer than I d like to admit. It s on the right side, on the bottom, the tooth farthest to the back. About a year ago I woke up one morning and could not see out of my right eye clearly. I ve been diagnosed with having retinal eye occlusions. I get an injection in my eye every 6 weeks to reduce the swelling in the eye. Do you think the tooth infection could have caused this eye stroke ? Other than these problems, I am a healthy 33 year old woman. I am aware that I need to get the tooth taken care of ASAP. Thanks for any advice.
Hi Such vascular clogging stroke may be any where and the source of thrombus or clott may be from any where from body. Retinal artery is an end artery hence more vulnerable though it is rare. For its management you must have consulted retina specialist.
