Can Tremendous Amount Of Stress Cause Excessive Vaginal Discharge ?

HI DOC I have been under tremendous amount of stress and notice excessive vaginal discharge. No odor and a little on the sticky side. I thought it might be a yeast infection, but no typical signs and symptoms. I started taking AZO over the counter and now my discharge is bright yellow is that normal.

Hello,
In the current scenario, you need to see a specialist for a complete evaluation. Please stop self-medication as it can lead to resistance if there is any infection. Yellowish discharge is not normal. It can mean an infection, mostly fungal. Vaginal swab, cervical swab, pap smear and urinalysis are needed to locate the cause of this discharge. Stress cannot cause excessive vaginal discharge, but increased pelvic pressure can. Please maintain proper genital hygiene and take adequate liquids. Hope this helps.
