Can Ulcer Medicines Cause Dizziness Or Sinus Symptoms?
Hi Doctor I am taking Pantocid 40 for an ulcer! What I would like to know is whether ulcer medication like these can cause a constant dizzy fuzzy head, almost like sinus symptoms. I feel like not taking these pills any longer as i am not sure what is causing me to feel this way! Thank you for your time, Dylan
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Pantoprazole is a type of medicine called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). If you take pantoprazole for more than 3 months, the levels of magnesium in your blood may fall. This can make you feel tired, confused and dizzy and cause muscle twitches, shakiness and an irregular heartbeat. In such a case, you should take a magnesium supplement.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
