Can Using Candid B And Flucanozole Be Safe For Ring Worms?
Hello, Dr. I am 23 y o female. Recently got infected with ringworms. I am studying pharmacology as one of my course subjects so i knew some creams and used candid B. I dont know how i got the infection as i am very hygienic person. I have also taken one flucanozole tablet . A week has passed and no improvement is seen. Infact, irritation persists and other body parts are also getting infected. First , it was groin region only. Please help me out thanks.
Hello, Thanks for the query, Fungal infections are very common and take time to get cured. Groin area is prone for fungal infection as it's moist. Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals. Treatment must be continued for at least a month to prevent recurrance. Even if you find the affected area getting cured you should continue applying the topical antifungal cream only then it will get cured totally. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
