Can Using Vicks Cause Rashes And Burning Sensation On The Skin?
I used Vicks under my nose last night. When I woke up this morning the side of my left nostril felt burned, when I look in the mirror, on the side of my nostril where it burns is all red, also there s a spot just right in between the corner of my eye and my left nostril that has the same red spot. Its unusual, any ideas ? I ve had shortness of breath lately, and last night and today ive been congested and I feel a cold creeping on, I recovered from bronchitis about a month or two ago, or at least I thought so. PLEASE HELP
Vicks can cause local irritation on the skin so the redness and the burning sensation you have had is very likely related to it.
Vicks helps opening the nose so you can sleep a bit better but is generally not helpful with shortness of breath. If you are having shortness of breath then you will need to see the doctor to rule out important lung conditions.
Meanwhile you can put cold compresses in the nose are that is red and burning and use some Benadryl to help with the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
