Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Vitamin D, Magnesium And Vitamin K Supplements Be Taken Together?
Most of my supplements require taking with food and since I m taking several, I m not sure which ones are okay to take together. Here are the supplements I am taking: calcium (in the form of crushed eggshells), Vitamin D, magnesium, boron and Vitamin K.
Vitamin D and calcium should be taken together as they work well together. Vitamin D helps increase the absorption of calcium although calcium citrate is better absorbed than eggshell calcium.
There are some interactions between boron and calcium so they possibly should be taken separately from each other. The interactions are not noted.
I ran your nutrients through an interaction checker and came up with no significant interaction between any of these nutrients.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kathy Shattler
