Can Weakness And Dizziness Be A Sign Of Increased Blood Sugar?

Yesterday evening I working out in the pool when I started getting very tired to the point that I had to close my eyes and finish working out. Then I got out of the pool and started to dry off when I started feeling weak/faint. At that point I was feeling tired and weak/faint. As far as I know I am in good health other than being in the medium on my cholesterol and sugar. I manage the cholesterol by watching my food intake, exercise and a statin. So far I haven t had to take anything for my blood sugar. Can you advise on what you think might have been happening to me? I had this same thing happen to be a couple of years ago.
