Can Weather Changes Lead To Frequent Bad Ethmoid Sinus Headaches With Eyelid Infection?
I have been getting bad ethmoid sinus headaches along with eyelid infection a few days later on/off for about 3 years now . Where I live in Auckland Nz the weather patterns have changed from humid, rainy weather to strong winds and dry weather and as I walk a lot could it be caused from the weather as I notice my symptoms are worse after being outside on a hot windy day? Also how do I treat this as it is very painful and I don t want to be on antibiotics all the time. The most recent bout has also fever, fatigue and sore stomach as well and I do notice I hate being outdoors as I feel worse.
Hello The weather changes can lead to sinus headaches because of cold triggering the sinusitis. Eye lid infections are more frequent on exposure to windy weather. The sinusitis requires treatment by antibiotics and decongestants. The antibiotics are not required for chronic cases of sinusitis. The chronic cases require evaluation by a ENT doctor and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
