Can You Tell Whether I Have Lost Remission With Vasculitis Having Other Problems Like Throat Infection, Tiredness And Headache?
hi I m a 51 year old female currently in remission with churg-strauss vasculitis. I have recently been very ill. I have been told I have a throat infection. I have diarrhoea and it is extremely smelly. My dr. Has tested my stool and it is WBC 13.9 RBC 5.1 Neutropils absolute 11.5 also my symptoms are weakness tiredness headaches swollen and painful lymph glands in my neck. My dr. Gave me an antibiotic and it is working for the sore throat but all the other symptoms remain. Can you tell me if I may have lost remission. I forgot to mention my weight loss of about 40 lbs.
HI Thank for asking to HCM In case of Churg-strauss disease the inflammatory process due to allergic condition of throat is common emergency this can be treated with high dose steroid the role of antibiotic is questionable, long term maintenance therapy with steroid is the only treatment can help you, I would like to say that the Churg-trausss syndrome has to be differentiate, certain aetiologies are very similar, have nice day. ( The remission of this disease is very much sure)
