Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Zedocef and acitus are antibiotics. It should be avoided especially in children unless indicated. Common Cold will get cured with out antibiotics. You can give warm chicken soup with pepper, lemon tea and vitamin c. But if there is signs of secondary bacterial infection like yellowish discharge from nose or sputum then these antibiotics will be helpful. Zedocef and acitus are cephalosporin and Azithromycin respectively. I usually consider Azithromycin as my choice. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries. Thanks
