Can Zentel Be Given To An Infant Having Constipation And Bad Smell From Mouth?

I have been told to give my 1 year old daughter Zentel, I notice its a treatment for worms and I have no suspicion of her having this apart from her struggling with constipation as well as having a really bad mouth smell which I can tell comes from her tummy as we brush her teeth 2-3 times daily, should I go ahead and give her the Zentel dose?

Zentel is given for worms as you rightly said. Every child has to be given Gentel at least once in 6 months. Because worms can cause malnutrition and constipation both, so go ahead with this. Also for constipation do not worry too much as such small child can have constipation normally also. Bonyson syrup can be used.

I have gone through your query , as you have small child you are giving medication zentel now you feel bad smell from mouth , dont worry sometime after taking drug there is Giardiasis this is one intestinal bacteria which is cured with Zentel , can cause bad egg like smell bad breath from oral cavity but it is also accompained by Diarehoea problem also ,
So, you continue this drug if you think problem continues then consult your doctor again for opinion,
