Can 'zifi' Be Given For Cold And Cough Infection?
my son is suffering from cough and cold with nasal bockage and whizing with fever constantly however last month doctor had given him zifi200 last time ...so just now i gave him the same thing with meftal p for fever as does not responds to normal crocin i just wanted to know whether zifi is a brad spectrum drug and covers cough and cold infections also

In my opinion, zifi is cefixime antibiotics given when there is upper respiratory tract infection.
Antibiotics not advisable to give without doctor consultation.
I would advise you to consult with doctor and then give the medication.
Meftal p can be given once in 4 to 6 hours for fever. Adequate hydration advised.
