Is that possible?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Normally forcible stretching of urethra in male causes extensive damage to penile urethra. This injury causes bleeding from urethra and this is a common features in old age patient . As you stated that bleeding is from the intestine and in stool. In my opinion injury to urethra don't cause any bleeding from intestine ( due to catheter). So intestinal bleeding may be . 1 Any ulcer in intestine , diagnosis can be confirmed by colonoscopy . 2 Hemorrhoid may be the another reason . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a surgeon . 3 If blood is fresh , may be from large intestine , but if dark color may be from stomach . In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion for colonoscopy . Good luck. Dr. HET
