Cause For Black Strip On The Thumb Nail?
Hi I have a faint black stripe on my thumb nail, I have had it for as long as I can remember, I don t feel ill or anything, but I am curious as to what it is? I normally where nail varnish and so I forget all about it, but taking it off yesterday its started to play on my mind.

I have gone through your query . Black strip on the nails can be due to many reasons ,, one is trauma or injury to the nail which rupture the underneath blood vessel giving black strip to nail. It does not need any treatment as such ,it will grow out with the growing nail . or there might be underlying health problems which can give black strip on nails. so i will suggest you to visit your family physician & take his opinion on it .
