Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
33 year old male, has had consistent chest pains for 2 days right below collar bone, (not subject to one side or another). Fairly good health, overweight and a smoker however. Potentially stress related. Any home remedies? or ideas to help with pain?
Hi. I can understand your concern. Ideally ecg and 2d echo should be done first in your case. If both are normal than no need to worry for heart diseases. It would be advisable for you to get a chest x ray done. If it is normal then get a PFT done which will tell us how much your lungs are functioning and what is the effect of smoking on them. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. STOP SMOKING before it causes more harm to you. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
