Cause For Continuous Bleeding Even After Periods?

Hi i am only 18 years of age and my period finished and then started again after 5 days and now it has been going on for 14 days. My dr said its because i am low in iron and gave me iron pills. Why am i bleeding for so long? Could it be stress from exams coming up?

Hi,

Yes severe weakness, psychological stress, physical stress can cause excessive bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. I feel, along with iron supplements you need cyclical hormones to manage the imbalance. Please consult your doctor for prescribing suitable drug for your health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
