Cause For Painful Cramps?

I ve been pooping a lot and my upper torso (ribs/side and stomach) are in so much pain. I can t make any sudden movements, and at first I thought it was my menstrual cramps (I m on my period right now), but I m afraid it might be something more since I keep drinking midol but it is not helping. Help please.

Hello,

It is difficult to give an exact answer without knowing your complete history, location of the pain, and a physical examination. However, cholecystitis, gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, ureteric colic can cause similar pain. So please follow up with urgent care for a detailed evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
